U.S. Seizes $7.7 Million, Nabs North Korea IT Agent

The U.S. Department of Justice on Monday announced the arrest of a key figure linked to North Korea’s illicit IT worker scheme. Federal agents searched 21 suspected “laptop farms” across 14 U.S. states, which served as remote workstations for North Korean operatives posing as legitimate IT professionals. These operations allowed the regime to bypass sanctions and generate revenue through deceptive employment practices.
