The disinformation effort appears designed to sway public opinion and disrupt the electoral process, with authorities warning that the network is using coordinated online tactics to spread misleading narratives.

Both nations, which are members of the European Union and NATO, have become frequent targets of Russian information warfare, particularly during politically sensitive periods. The uptick in malicious content comes as concerns grow over foreign interference in democratic institutions across Europe.
