The breach affected American First Finance, one of FinWise’s corporate clients, and compromised personal information belonging to approximately 689,000 individuals.

According to notifications sent by the bank, the former worker accessed customer files without authorization, raising concerns over internal data controls. FinWise confirmed that it is issuing the alerts on behalf of American First Finance and is taking steps to bolster security protocols in response.
