ENISA Unveils Guide to Test Cyber Resilience
The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) has published a new *Handbook for Cyber Stress Testing*, designed to assist national authorities in evaluating the cybersecurity posture and operational resilience of critical sector entities. The document outlines a structured approach for conducting cyber stress tests, offering guidance on planning, execution and evaluation of results.
This initiative aims to bolster the EU’s collective defenses by enabling authorities to better identify vulnerabilities and systemic risks across essential services. The handbook supports the implementation of cybersecurity assessments in sectors deemed vital to the functioning of the economy and society, such as energy, transport and finance.
By promoting a harmonized methodology, ENISA seeks to enhance cross-border cooperation and consistency in cyber resilience evaluations. The release is part of broader efforts to strengthen the EU’s preparedness against cyber threats and ensure continuity of critical services in the face of emerging digital risks.
The handbook is available on ENISA’s official website.
