A cyberattack on Collins Aerospace disrupted airport operations across Europe, forcing Heathrow, Brussels, and Berlin airports to shift to manual check-in procedures. The Collins cyberattack snarls flights across these major hubs, triggering long delays, flight cancellations, and widespread passenger frustration starting Friday night.

Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX, supplies the Muse software used for check-in and boarding at numerous airports. The software outage affected thousands of travelers, with Cirium reporting at least 29 cancelled flights among 1,100 scheduled departures across the three cities. Brussels Airport warned of continuing issues into Saturday, while Berlin and Heathrow advised passengers to confirm flight status before arriving.

In a statement, RTX acknowledged a “cyber-related disruption” and said it was working to restore services. The Collins cyberattack snarls flights globally, highlighting the vulnerability of centralized airport systems.
