Cisco Fixes Cloud Flaw Risking AWS, Azure, OCI Data

Cisco has issued a security patch for a vulnerability in its Identity Services Engine (ISE) that could expose sensitive data in cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The flaw affected cloud-based deployments of the ISE platform, which is widely used for identity and access control in enterprise networks.

According to Cisco, the vulnerability could allow unauthorized parties to gain access to protected information, posing a risk to organizations relying on cloud infrastructure. The company did not disclose the specific nature of the flaw but confirmed that it has been addressed through updated software.

The exposure highlights ongoing concerns around securing identity and access management tools in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Enterprises using ISE on affected platforms are urged to apply the patch immediately to prevent potential exploitation.

Cisco said the update is now available for download and recommended that organizations verify their deployments to ensure full protection.
